Can I install the DTK myself?

This is one of the greatest advantages of the DTK. As opposed to traditional chip tuning, installation of the DTK on most cars is so simple that most people are able to do it on their own in a short time. Photos and Information   Movies here

What is the DTK?

DTK is a digital unit that is connected between the engine's electronic controls and the fuel injection system. DTK intervenes and adjusts the functioning of the engine's original injection system and increases efficiency while at the same time decreases fuel consumption in most cases, particularly on long stretches of driving.

How does this work?

Our Diesel Tuning Kit is unique in the respect that it can only affect the diesel pump fuel injection and nothing more. Between the electronic unit and the diesel pump in your car, there is a connection. Our tuning box is attached to the connection unsing the car's original contacts and improves the dosing and timing for fuel injection. This will not harm or affect any of the other motor elements. Is increased engine efficiency noticeable?

The increase in power is very noticeable. Through a significant increase in rpm, a marked improvement is noticeable particularly in the mid-range. When overtaking at normal speed without down-gearing and on upward inclines, the increased rpm will result in a significant improvement in reserve power. The motor often seems to be more inclined to produce rpm and is more like a petrol-powered motor.

Will the service life of the motor be shortened?

DTK is constructed so that the motor will not be pushed beyond its power-producing limitations. Even when the engine's maximum capacity is exploited all of the time, the mechanical capacity is still held within the limits for which the engine is constructed. Under normal usage, wear and tear as a result of increased efficiency will not be noticeable.

Will the Diesel Tuning Kit increase fuel consumption?

Fuel consumption, as a rule, will slightly decrease after installation of the DTK tuning box. Tuning optimizes fuel supply for combustion and one gets a better economic return as a result.

Will my car pass the EU vehicle inspection after installing the DTK?

Yes, the car will meet requirements for emissions, noise, etc. after installation of the tuning box. The unit may also be removed quickly, if preferred, before service or EU vehicle inspection or any other occasion.

Can the car be put back into original condition?

Yes, simply by removing the entire unit, including cables, the car is exactly the same as its original state.

Are there any remaining signs that diesel tuning has been installed, once it has been removed?

No, when you take off the tuning box, there are no remaining traces that it was installed. All changes made when using the DTK tuning box are contained in the box itself, contrary to chip tuning, during which the very electronic controls of the motor are altered. If you want the car to show no signs of trimming, or to remove all signs that it was installed, you simply remove the box, which you can replace again whenever you want. You can do this in 5 minutes.

Are you able to see from outward appearances that the DTK has been installed ?

No, changes are not visible since the only thing done is to place the DTK box beneath the bonnet.

Will the engine electronics function as they normally do?

Yes, since installation of the DTK makes no permanent alteration in the car's original electronic systems, all service functions may be read as usual during service. DTK will not interfere with any other electronic management systems, such as ABS, Airbag, etc.

Will the garage detect deficiencies in the system after installation of DTK?

No, since DTK is not a permanent alteration in the original engine's electronic management.

Will the car have to be taken more often for service?

DTK does not affect the general service intervals for the vehicle. Generally, we recommend the use of synthetic oil and more frequent oil changes and service if the car is driven more ruggedly or under more strenuous conditions than normally.
